I'm so excited for the beginning of the school year. I've been planning what seems like all summer to create new and better products to help your school year along. Here are some of them, a few I think you will enjoy!
New Powerpoint Game Subjects!
I recently sent out a survey to some of my followers and asked what other subjects they would like to see. Amongst the most were reading and social studies. Taking that into account and the fact that I'm limiting myself to math only, I decided to start making games for all subjects. Henceforth, here is the first!
I spent over a week gathering resources, checking facts, and searching for clip art and fonts. Luckily, I found them all. I spent a few days working on the game and finally it's done! A 20 question game with a different question types. From labeling to list to regular question, this powerpoint game will come in handy for years and years to come.
20 questions in all .It's a teacher vs. student game
Labeling questions. Credit goes to Zip-a-Doo-Dah for the beautiful clip art.
Questions with multiple answers.
I was so excited, I offered it as a flash freebie on Facebook. Of course, I was so happy with it, I began working on many more. I have a notebook full of topics for each subject. Be on the lookout for more games! Don't hesitate to request a topic!
Back to school is around the corner so I've create a powerpoint game to help get to know your students. It will get them out of their seats.
It's a simple game that ask students to choose 1 of 2 options. Option 1 is red. Option 2 is blue. All you have to do place them on different sides of the room. Students go the side for the answer they want.
You can adjust it to fit your needs. There are suggestions below the directions on how you can tweak it to fit your needs. Here area few more:
- Use Whiteboards (Good practice for the rest of the year)
- Use popsicle sticks and ask students why they choose that option
- Have students Sit or Stand instead of moving about the room
- Print out the slides and make small group discussions
The possibilities are endless!

So I've been hinting for a long time that something big was coming. If you've taken my survey, you can probably guess what's coming. After much calculating and deliberating, here's the so called big news:
I've been working on this for months. I posted the questions, "Would you be interested in a yearly or permanent license." in a survey I sent out. Most thought it would be a wonderful idea. I've been hashing out the details since then.
Here are the details:
You would get all the games I make this school year. If you like what you see, you can renew it for the 2015-2016 school year for $15. You can continue to pay $15 each year you renew, even if you skip a year. When you have paid $100 (first subscription and 5 renewals), you automatically gain access to all my powerpoint games. This brings me to my next product.
If you simply wish to gain access to every PPT game ever made by me, then you can purchase this permanent license. You will get every powerpoint game I have made since I joined TPT in 2010. That's over 80 powerpoint games. If you do the math, I make 2 to 3 games a month at $2-$3 each. That's about $6 a week. $24 a month. $288 a year. You're saving $188 and you'll get every powerpoint game I plan to make in the future! Big savings!
Of course, we're teachers and we're on a budget. That's why the yearly license and renewal plan is there for you. It may take longer to get to that, but it's great for tight budgets!
That's all for today. My next post will be on Monday!
Class Dismissed.
