Football Freebie Frenzy - Week #1

Welcome to my very first Linky Party! Football season is upon us! Rejoice! With that being said, here's this week's Football Freebie Frenzy products. Feel free to write and link up your blog post about your team!

Today's freebie: Alphabet Race - Identifying Uppercase Letters.

This flash card powerpoint game is out of this world! Students can practice identifying uppercase letter of the Alphabet. 

This Powerpoint includes Macro that allows for the slides to be random every time. Great for individual practice!

What's in Your Cart Linky Party

I'm happy to share with you some great items to pick up from my TPT store as well as a few things I know I will be grabbing from some other sellers during the site wide TPT Sale. With only a limited time frame of 2 days, it's time to grab them and grab them quickly!

The first item I would grab is my Powerpoint Game Permanent License.

This license entitles you to all the powerpoint games I have ever made! It also grants you access to any and all games that I make in the future. I've already made over 200 games for grades K through 6th. Though they are mostly math games, I plan to largely expand to reading, writing, science, and social studies this year. This would grant you access to those games and more for the rest of your life.

If you're not so sure and you want something a little smaller you can purchase a yearly license (which guarantees at least 25 games).

Next up, I would get this Beginning Sounds Bundle. This bundle comes with 4 games. Your students will love playing theses games with you or by themselves as a phonics/literacy center.

There are 4 games in this bundle. Each games asks for a beginning sound that matches a picture, but each in a different way. The first game displays the entire word, except for the first letter. The second game asks you to match the picture with 3 letter choices. The third game asks you to match letter sound to 3 pictures (opposite of the second). The last game is a bingo game. Students match the picture with the letter sound on their bingo cards. There are 30+ bingo cards, call sheets and cards, and includes a blank card to create your own game.

Each game can be purchased separately, but you can save more when you purchase the bundle. Great to use throughout the entire school year.

Lastly, you need to prepare before the first day of school so I would buy this Editable Open House Presentation.

Ah, open house. A time for teachers to meet their students and parents. A time for parents and students to meet the teacher. A time to get a quick glance at the classroom and get through all that beginning of the year paperwork! You can easy through that transition with the powerpoint presentation.

This 15 slide presentation shows your students and parents information about your classroom. Includes slides about classroom rules, schedule, school supplies, homework policy, behavior plans and more. Best of all, it's editable so you can change the fonts and colors. A great start to the school year for only $2.00.


There are definitely a few stores I will be stopping by during the TPT Sale. Most of it will be clip and fonts, but I'll be grabbing a few bundles here and there.

I'll definitely by stopping by Whimsy Clips' store. I love her clip art, especially for ELA. They are so clear and easy to read orsee.

I'll also be purchasing some more font licenses from KG Fonts. I love her fonts so much. I try my hardest to buy font licenses from her during a sale. That's when her license drops down to about $4 and since I buy $20 worth, I can get 5 fonts instead of 4 fonts during a sale.

1,000 Follower Spectacular - Day 3

Today's $1 Deal is for 2nd grade teachers. 2nd grade holds a special place in my heart. It was the grade I taught before I had to leave to classroom and I miss it so much. One topic I loved doing with them was measuring. Hence, this game was born!

 

In this "Find the Star" game, students answer 25 questions to find stars hidden behind 25 blocks. There are 7 stars to find and students have to answer questions correctly to be able to choose a square. 

 

 When it comes to measuring, the first thing comes to mind is tools. Students are measuring different lengths of nails. Sizes range from 1 inch to 12 inches.

 

 

 

For anyone who uses the Metric system, let me know and I will make a Centimeters version for you.

Using a Ruler for Measuring PPT Game

 

 

Today's freebie is about compound words. A new topic to try. My 2nd graders loved playing puzzles games with compound words and since my "Who Am I" Community Helpers game is a big hit, I thought I'd try it with compound words.

 

 

In this game, students are given 3 clues to an object that is a compound word. Some words are easy while others are a little tricky. This will be a great game fore review or circle time.

Today's $1 Deal is for 1st grade teachers. I don't remember using popsicle sticks or straws when I was in school, but when I did my observations in college, I saw them A LOT. Alas, I decided to make a game with them.

 

In this game, students must determine the number of tens and ones with the groups of popsicle sticks.  This game is perfect as a whole class activity or small group intervention.

 

 

There are individual popsicle sticks as well as bundled sticks. There are 20 questions in all and a cute popsicle face on every question. =)

Today's freebie is about Pronouns. I have a few noun games, but now it's time to give some love to the other parts of speech.

 

 

In this game, each  question has a sentence with a noun the needs to be replaced with a pronoun (pretty self-exclamatory). There are 3 pronouns to choose from so students don't pick easier ones. 

 

 

This is just a small sample. If you'd like me to make a full game for this or even a bundle of games), let me know. I"m think maybe a huge parts of speech bundle. Who knows. =P

Today's $1 Deal is for Kindergarten teachers. A new type of counting game. Well, almost new gameas I don't use make Test Prep games very often.

 

 

In this game, students must represent a given number with bubbles. Test Prep games are multiple choice (A through D). This game is perfect as an individual review or practice before an assessment.

 

 

There's no scoreboard so it works great as a center or use it in the mornings for a daily review. Check marks and X's appear on right and wrong answers respectively.

Representing Numbers - A Test Prep PPT Game

 

 

Your first freebie this week is about ending sounds. Next week, I'll post my final game for my Beginning sounds set. but for today, take a look at this game. With a few suggestions from my followers, I created this Ending Sounds Mini game.

 

 

Similar to my beginning sounds game, students must identify the ending sound for each picture. There are 10 questions in all.
